6. Have Fun!

OK, so having fun isn’t going to actually shave time off the stopwatch, but it will make Molten Core more bearable.

There are posts on the Raid & Dungeons forums all the time on things you can do to make Molten Core more fun. Drinking games, Karaoke, killing off your guildies in amusing ways… it depends alot on your raid mix.

In Fates Requiem, we have Raylow.Raylow Yes, that’s him to the right. Raylow is our class clown, our resident lunatic and occasional stoner. He’s an incredibly bright guy who loves to make people laugh.

Sure, he annoys some people, but he makes most of the raid laugh, and he’s always there when things get tense with poorly timed toilet humor, to put things back into perspective.

And sometimes he sings for us. Or plays the Benny Hill theme song.

Find yourself someone like Ray, and it’ll go a long way towards making Molten Core more bearable.

Another technique some guilds use is to play music on Teamspeak during trash… this has varying degrees of success depending on the codecs you use, members tastes in music, members connection speeds, etc. In the raid we try to keep it to no more than short audio clips (though we do have a Teamspeak-based ‘radio station’ where a member can broadcast music for other members to listen to when we’re not raiding).

    If Raylow was a druid instead of a lock, he’d probably never stop humping corpses. Instead he randomly throws Rain of Fire and yells out “OMG WHO PULLED GEHENNAS”

  6. in my guild i put music on vent out of nowhere(specially chacarron macarron by El Mudo http://ualuealuealeuale.ytmnd.com/ ).
    putting soundboards over vent like the pulp fiction one.when we get to domo and someone dies i rez them with Rebirth rank 1 from the lava pit or rezzing ppl in magdamar in a area where the fire is.rofl they get so pissed.also killing ppl with the bomb is so funny

    and who can forget humping the dead bodies

  7. After every Golemagg kill the phrase “You can see Ragnaros if you look through the window behind where golemagg was standing.” gets put through raid and of course everytime at least 5 people die.. usually gives me a good chuckle.
